How to Commission Pet Portraits

I paint animals doing human things simply because they are cute, joyful, and bring a piece of a storybook into real life. Whether it’s a whimsical goose in a dress or a beloved family pet wearing their own little outfit, animals speak a language of unconditional joy.

Our pets live with us for a part of our lives, but to them, we are their entire world. Painting their portraits is my way of honoring that bond, eternizing their unique spirits, and making the world a little softer through watercolor.

Artistic Freedom & Process

Every portrait is hand-painted using professional watercolor on premium fine art paper. You will receive the physical, original painting delivered to your doorstep. Available both framed or unframed, depending on your choice to match your space perfectly.

When commissioning an original illustration, you are not simply purchasing a technical portrait; you are investing in my unique artistic interpretation and sensitivity toward your pet. For this reason, I do not work with strict creative briefs, specific pose demands, or style directions.

Your role in this process is to send me 3 to 5 high-resolution photos of your pet and share a bit about their personality (whether they are gentle, energetic, grumpy, or food-obsessed). From there, I take full creative freedom to develop the composition, color palette, and atmosphere that best translate your companion's soul.

Due to the fluid, traditional, and transparent nature of watercolor, this artwork does not include a revision policy. The physical painting on cotton paper is permanent and cannot be altered once the pigment meets the surface; therefore, I do not send preliminary sketches for approval.

How to Order

To maintain a personal and dedicated experience, all commissions are handled securely via email. Please make sure to attach a good photo to your commission inquiry, because I need a clear view of their face to bring them to life.

As a traditional watercolor artist, I work with intuitive flow and artistic freedom. I do not offer revisions or sketch alterations; when you book a commission, you are trusting my unique vision and style to bring your prompt to life.

Shipping & Delivery

Shipping costs are calculated separately based on your delivery address and are not included in the base price of the artwork (frames are also not included).

All original paintings are carefully shipped in rigid, protective packaging to ensure your artwork arrives in perfect condition. A tracking code will be sent directly to your email as soon as it ships.

Payment Terms & Process

50% Non-Refundable Deposit: Work on your illustration will officially begin and be secured in my schedule only after the confirmation of a 50% deposit. This deposit secures your studio slot and covers initial project development; therefore, it is non-refundable in case of cancellation after sketching begins.

Final Payment & Shipping: The remaining 50% balance plus the calculated shipping fee must be fully paid after you approve the final artwork via photo, and prior to physical dispatch. Payments are processed via Wise in EUR.

Please note: Base prices cover the artwork only. Shipping and framing costs must be calculated and discussed before the commission formally begins. By confirming your 50% deposit, you declare full trust in my visual identity, my portfolio, and the delivery of my artistic vision for your project.
